Just starting to try and get caught up with all the people I”ve been following for the last 20 years in blogland. How the heck are you?

I FINALLY got ~~bamboozled~~ hired to write and so far I’m having fun except the topic they want me to write about is Fitness. MY Journey to become a fit machine. Not so bad right? Yeah wait for it.

The pain is unbelievable! but starting to feel the ‘no pain no gain’ thing of it…but it still hurts and I want a massage pronto. The workout was 9 stations of all upper body and stomach exercises with weights. We’ll have the same workout for the next 2 weeks and then it changes. The tricep exercises so kick my ass and I can barely do them. And I’m not too fond of medicine balls anymore…not that I ever was.

Jill- I joined a group and it’s extremely organized…to the point that if you don’t follow their diet and their regimen, you get kicked out. It’s what I need because I thrive on structure.

I’m off to eat my egg white burrito. Will chase with a few advils.

I haven’t even started and I’m freaking out over the food. I have a list of foods I am allowed to eat. NO MEAT. Hello, have you met me? My name is “K”arnivore, and I’m not particularly pleased about this.

Anyways, I go to class tonight and can’t wait because I have lots of questions. I’m supposed to have 6 meals a day but if they want me to fit in 6 meals from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep that means I have to get up at 5am for my first meal and then my last meal at 8pm.

Considering my class tonight is at 430pm I’m pretty much counting on being dead by 6pm so what’s going to happen then?

Tomorrow I start my 84 day body transformation. Twelve weeks of a boot camp of sorts just because I am not happy with what I’ve become…haven’t been for a while.

Stay tuned as I chronicle my daily struggles and successes with the next 84 days; it’ll be all about me, myself and I. And whatever else comes with trying to figure out whether or not ‘whom’ is a direct object or something else.

I mean, really? this is the part about English I hated.

So what’s your 2011 looking like?

Mine has been full of gas….let me explain: You know I’m on this WW kick…I actually do like it and am going to keep going on it but with New Year’s it was kinda hard to avoid all the goodies and instead of giving in I bought WW Caramel Medallions- they taste AWESOME!! However…the side effects??

Dare I say, sharts?? not really but lots and lots of gas. I’m so attractive right now I can’t even stand myself. It’s gotten to the point where I thought of EXERCISE to get rid of this (didn’t work).

So that’s my year so far…how’s yours?

The Tennis Story

A couple of you have asked if i’m still playing tennis. As you know, I play in a team whose season is like 8 months long (September through May) and practices 1x a week and plays 1x a week.

My original team is the bomb but because some girls left, we needed 6 girls to come join our team to have the needed 14 to play in the league.

Mistake #1- the captain merged with another fully formed team- so 6 of those girls came over to us. These girls were your typical South FLorida bitches and were very clicky, immature and basically validated themselves on the tennis court.

Mistake #2- everyone (but me) voted on letting one of these new ho’s to be co-captain. From day one I voiced my concerns to our girls- I saw through them…they were just not nice.

Then, season started…they turned out to be a nightmare to play with- the types that roll their eyes at you and if they miss a shot they blamed you for not setting it up correctly. Yeah. Bite me. That’s not even half of it- the drama, I felt like a flashback of middle school right in front of my eyes, the whispers, the looks- oh fuck them!

I was one of the few that was not paired up so I got stuck playing with these girls and let’s just be glad I stuck with it as long as I did and didn’t walk off the court minus one racquet while my partner was on the floor crying from the pain.

Short story- I quit…I never quit something in my life but didn’t feel the need to be with women on my two days off, who were just bitches and annoyed me like hell. So instead, I’ll be going to yoga, doing some me-things with my time and hopefully picking up a game here or there at night.

So there you have it. Not as interesting as I had hoped and for some reason can’t really type today. My fingers are frozen.

I had already given up Diet Coke back in August so I didn’t really think that I would be hit with a withdrawal migraine after starting this diet but I did…my head was killing me yesterday!! I must have been having more candy/chocolate on a daily basis than I thought but for crying out loud! Had to go to sleep at 830 just to make it go away.

And go away it did…I was so flipping proud of myself that there were actually left overs last night to what we (I) usually make and don’t have enough for left overs…ever. A nice wake up call to the portions I’ve been consuming lately.

Another day – already seeing changes in the scale and although it’s mostly water weight, I’m still flipping thrilled!

Ok well…

Ever since I got ‘served’ by the wii fit, I decided to prove that damn thing was wrong so I went out and bought myself a brand spanking new fancy scale.

I was heavier by one pound.
